Irrigation Restrictions Policy: Level 2

Schedule and Restrictions:

Water restrictions go into effect May 1 and continue through September 30 every year.

For odd-numbered addresses – Watering is allowed on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

For even-numbered addresses – Watering is allowed on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.

No watering is allowed on Sundays.

Watering times are between midnight and 9 am, and between 6 pm and midnight on assigned days. Hand watering of dry spots, flowers and gardens is allowed any day between 6 p.m. and 9 a.m. For new plants, hand watering on any single day at any time is allowed. Portable lawn sprinkling devices left on for any period of time are not defined as hand watering, and are limited to the even and odd address restrictions.

Triview issues sod permits to customers with new sod or landscaping. A sod permit is valid for two weeks and allows watering Monday through Saturday (no watering on Sundays). Upon the expiration of the sod permit, customers are required to follow the regular irrigation restriction schedule. If you have new sod or landscaping and wish to get a sod permit, please email us at or call us at (719) 488-6868.

Violations of the Triview watering guidelines are handled according to the following:

  • First violation: warning letter
  • Second violation: warning letter and notification of a fine to be assessed if violations continue
  • Third violation: $50.00 fine
  • Fourth violation: $100.00 fine
  • Fifth (plus) violations: $200.00 fine per violation

Letters for noncompliance are mailed to the address where the current water and sewer bill is mailed. Confirmation of receipt of notice is made before assessing the next fine. Penalties are carried over from year to year.

Penalties assessed for noncompliance with Triview’s watering restrictions are assessed via the violator’s next water and sewer bill. Nonpayment of the penalty is treated the same as if the homeowner does not pay the water and sewer bill, and Triview’s policies and procedures for nonpayment of a water and sewer bill are followed. Appeals will be heard by the Board of Directors upon written request.
