Triview 1.5 Million Gallon Water Project
Securing renewable water rights is only half the battle; we also must have a place to store that water until…
Triview Metropolitan District is partnering with Colorado Springs Utilities and Forest Lakes Metropolitan District on a major wastewater infrastructure project that will benefit our community for decades to come.
The Northern Monument Creek Interceptor is an 8.6-mile pipeline that will carry Triview’s wastewater to Colorado Springs Utilities’ modern treatment facilities located off of the Garden of the God’s Road and I-25. This regional partnership consolidates wastewater treatment for our area, creating significant efficiencies, the sharing of regulatory risk with Colorado Springs Utilities’ much larger customer base, and ensuring reliable service to both the Triview and Forest Lakes Metropolitan Districts now and in the future.
The three participating agencies will share construction costs based on their projected wastewater flows:
Upon completion, Colorado Springs Utilities will own and operate the pipeline, with each partner maintaining rights to capacity proportional to their investment.
This project reflects Triview’s ongoing commitment to providing reliable, cost-effective utility services while planning strategically for our community’s future. By partnering with regional providers, we’re ensuring Triview residents and businesses have the infrastructure needed to thrive along the I-25 corridor.
